Tony Lovell started the project sometime around August of 2000 as a collaborative research effort of the Dreadnought Era. Others have contributed in a variety of ways in helping model, research and discuss the ships and technologies that helped forge 20th century naval warfare. The site offers some unique material such as historic ship plans.
